It seems there are a lot of places experiencing severe drought. We received 1 3/4″ of rain this week and were thrilled, but it didn’t make a dent in the severe conditions. Fingers crossed we all get some more before the ground freezes.
I was thinking that your winter snowfall might sort it out but didn’t realise it was low last winter and so might be again this year. I hadn’t thought of the ground freezing up and stopping water infiltration though as we don’t have our ground frozen for more than a week or so here.

it’s time they turned their technological minds to moving it from one place to another! Or start ‘cloud seeding’ like they do in the Middle East

The wet season is just arriving in California. It’s going to rain all weekend here. I sure hope your situation improves in the coming months.
