I thought of kayaking this morning.
The lake was in its early calm state.
Steam rolled over its mirrored surface.
I had yet to have my first paddle of the season.
I was long overdue.
The morning was fall cool.
I usually love fall cool, at least I do in the fall.
Perhaps that is what held me back,
Because I couldn’t abandon my fuzzy housecoat and mug of tea.
Thank you for reading

That would be lovely. You have an open invitation if ever you are out east again.

We’re having a delightfully cool two day spell as well. I’m all about fall weather.

Me too but I need a little more summer first.

We just had a warm spell of about a week where I was having to leave the doors open to cool the house down. Right the very next day it went super-cold and, after a couple of days of that, my house has now got so cold, I think I’m going to have to put the heating back on 😦

We have been back and forth between warm and cold. A few days ago we actually had a fire in our wood stove.

Quite a few people here have been lighting their fires at night for a while now. Glad to see it’s not just us then!

What a lovely back yard and view… I think I would have opted to skip kayaking and just hang out with a cup of coffee and a good book.

Not sure I think this is a bad thing…

Very picturesque. I can imagine that would be a very peaceful place to kayak. Much better than meditation.
